Traditional Art / Paintings / Landscapes & Scenery

This is probably my personal favourite of my landscape paintings. I've sold most of the others that I have done but I decided to keep this one.
It is a painting I did a few years ago of Moraine Lake in Banff, Alberta, Canada. I have been there on holiday twice now because the scenery was so stunning the first time around. I chose to use quite a vibrant abstract colour pallet because I wanted to try and emulate great landscape artists such as Monet and William Turner who have done the same. I cannot honestly say how long it took, but trust me it was a long time!

This is awesome! I love how there are tons of colors that most people would never put (like the purples and blues of the rowboats) yet it still makes total sense

Thankyou very much, I love landscape artists like Monet, Van Gogh and Turner for their unusual colour pallets. I tried to echo that a bit with this painting.
